Coaching with God

Building Bridges Between Recovery and Redemption

My life has been shaped by two remarkable journeys.
The first was a journey of recovery.

Beginning in 1995, I entered Al-Anon searching for peace in the midst of family dysfunction. In 2004, I joined Alcoholics Anonymous and experienced profound personal growth through the Twelve Steps. Since 2017, my healing has continued through Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families (ACA), where I discovered deeper emotional healing and freedom from childhood wounds.

For more than three decades, recovery taught me honesty, humility, surrender, accountability, forgiveness, service, and hope. It changed my life.
The second journey was my journey to Jesus.

In August 2025, after years of sincerely seeking God through the concept of a Higher Power, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. My faith became more than spiritual principles—it became a living relationship with the One who had been pursuing me all along.

Today, I can clearly see that God was preparing me for something much bigger than I ever imagined.

In December 2024, I earned my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation and have accumulated more than 300 hours of professional coaching experience. Combined with over 20 years of business leadership and decades immersed in recovery, God has uniquely equipped me to serve people standing at two important crossroads.

I Help Two Groups of People
For Those in Recovery
Many people in Twelve Step programs eventually begin asking deeper spiritual questions.
"Who is God?"
"Can I know Him personally?"
"Is there more than simply believing in a Higher Power?"
I've asked those same questions.
My heart is to walk beside people in recovery who are curious about Jesus Christ—not with judgment or pressure, but with compassion, understanding, and the hope that comes from my own testimony.

For Christians
Many devoted Christians quietly carry burdens that churches often don't know how to address.
Family dysfunction.
Codependency.
Perfectionism.
Control.
People-pleasing.
Addiction.
Childhood trauma.
Shame.
Fear.

Many believers love Jesus deeply but continue struggling with unhealthy patterns because they have never experienced the practical healing that recovery communities can offer.

Recovery is not only for people struggling with addiction in themselves or a family member or friend.

The principles of honesty, surrender, inventory, confession, forgiveness, making amends, healthy boundaries, and daily dependence on God can become powerful tools for emotional and spiritual growth when practiced with Jesus Christ at the center.

I help Christians discover that seeking recovery is not a sign of weak faith—it can be a courageous step toward deeper healing and greater freedom in Christ.

Why I Am Uniquely Equipped
I understand recovery because I've lived it for over 30 years.
I understand coaching because I am an ICF Associate Certified Coach.
I understand business because I've spent more than two decades leading and growing a successful company.
And I understand what it feels like to search for God...and finally discover Jesus in a deeply personal way.

These experiences allow me to connect with people from both worlds—with empathy, humility, and hope.

My Mission
To build bridges between recovery and the Church.
To help people in recovery discover a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
To help Christians embrace recovery as a pathway toward emotional, relational, and spiritual healing.
To coach people toward the abundant life Jesus promised.

Because I believe healing isn't just about changing behaviors.
It's about allowing Christ to transform our hearts.
